The Departmental Management Team coordinates the activities of the Development Department who are headed by Phil Crabtree – Chief Planning Officer.

Service delivery is organised in four areas:

• Planning Services – Development Control
• Building Standards – Building Control, Enforcement and the council’s Access Officer
• Highways Feasibility & Development Services
• Development Management and Development Enquiry Centre

The Building Standards Service is committed to delivering a high quality and customer focused service in the built environment whilst remaining competitive, retaining its market share and recovering the costs of the service.
